The menu at Conrad's Local Kitchen & Patio is a masterclass in variety and quality. I started with the loaded nachos, a dish packed with fresh toppings and perfectly melted cheese. Every bite was flavorful, showing a careful balance between textures and spices. For the main course, I went with the house burger, which came with a side of hand-cut fries. The burger was juicy and cooked exactly as requested, while the fries had a crispness that spoke of freshly prepared potatoes rather than frozen shortcuts. It’s clear that the chefs here prioritize fresh, local ingredients, something that aligns with trends showing that diners increasingly value farm-to-table approaches for both taste and sustainability.

The patio area deserves a special mention. It’s a perfect blend of comfort and charm, with ample seating and greenery that makes outdoor dining an experience rather than just a meal. The food was delicious. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Some friends and I were traveling and decided to stop in Kearney for lunch. We made the right decision when we chose Conrad‘s. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with the green beans and it was the best Reuben I’ve ever had! The green beans were made southern style and were delicious. The portions are generous and the food was hot and tasty. I would definitely eat there again if I was in the area.
They have some of the best fried pork tenderloin around. You can get it with mayo and horseradish sauce. It’s always breaded and fried to perfection! My son had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and it was excellent also. The waitresses are always amazing!
We discovered this place thanks to a birthday gift certificate that covered part of our meal. Had very friendly service, but not too attentive. She was covering too many tables and unable to revisit us often enough. Needed extra sauces for some items because they were dry. The house made chips were not as impressive as I'd heard, a little soggy and not crisp. The Cubano sandwich was loaded with meat, but the meat was not shredded well, so hard to chew if you don't have good teeth. Some of the TV screens were not tuned to family- friendly shows. Enjoyed the football game. Overall, I'd give them another chance, perhaps at the other location, but I'm not sure my husband agrees.
